The Challenge

WooBiz is a person to person on-line business networking service, offering a fresh approach to people who want to help themselves and others create and grow the businesses they want to be engaged in. WooBiz exists to act as a catalyst to help people meet the right people to do business with, in the right way, and encourages self-organisation. As a start-up, WooBiz needed to put in place a funding and networking strategy to further its work and establish business partnerships to achieve a critical element of its Marketing Plan, low-cost acquisition of members based on PR and word of mouth.

What we did, and how

We supported the WooBiz team in the development of its strategy, identifying potential influential supporters and funders of the business, and initiating and facilitating key contacts and meetings.

Circus

The Challenge

Circus wanted to strengthen its understanding of the credit card market and broaden its experience and range of services.

What we did, and how

As experienced industry practitioners, we provided specialist sector insight to Circus on the credit card market; the regulatory issues it faces; its profit drivers and growth strategies. This insight was founded on direct industry experience, drawing on provider and distributor expertise.

The Land Society

The Challenge

The Land Society, a rural regeneration social enterprise working with local people to develop community owned assets and economic opportunities on a socially, economically and environmentally sustainable basis that enables people to stay local enjoying a good quality of life. It needed to put in place a funding and networking strategy to further its work and establish business partnerships

What we did, and how

Jaconet brought to bear its experience of forging partnerships, advising on the approach to finding business partners and facilitating key meetings with potential business partners. A review was undertaken of the funding strategy of the Land Society and its governance to bring a refreshed approach to funding activity.

MRM

The Challenge

MRM has established its management of media relations on its deep understanding of the Life and Pensions sectors. Its client growth strategy includes offering its services to a broader range of Financial Services sectors.

What we did, and how

Jaconet provides on-going support by providing guidance on the strategies of suppliers of Financial Services and their own distribution activity and, where relevant, their distribution partners. This is then synthesised to assist MRM in specific activity to secure new clients in this sector, working in a very practical way to develop contact strategies. Jaconet’s experience of negotiating business partnerships, their inception and development in Retail Financial Services have supported MRM with its growth strategy due to the depth of industry insight provided.

The Challenge

Transform

The Challenge

CVL (now Transform) was seeking contributions to its work on Agile Working in the Digital space to strengthen and evidence its expertise in this sector.

What we did, and how

We worked with the CVL team to share Jaconet’s experience of developing a new on-line distribution channel for Financial, Travel and Leisure services for a major retail group from initial concept to the launch of a trading website. Specific emphasis was placed on the creation of multi-disciplined ‘virtual’ teams, and innovation in User Acceptance Testing and Systems Integration Testing and the benefit of an ‘agile’ approach to their deployment to ensure the delivery of both quality and speed of execution.
